Eimear Cowhey is an experienced investment management professional with over 30 years’ experience in financial services holding senior executive and board positions with Amundi/Pioneer and Invesco. Her executive roles were focused on general management (CEO/MD roles), product development and management, international distribution and the registration and listing of mutual funds. Since 2006 Eimear has served as a non-executive independent chairman, director and committee member of investment fund and management boards and committees of well-known global promoters and managers in Ireland, England and Luxembourg. Eimear is a former Chairman and Council member of Irish Funds, the Irish funds industry association. She is a founder and former Chairperson of basis.point which is an Irish charity focused on alleviating poverty in Ireland through education, particularly among young people.

Brian joined Deloitte in Ireland as a partner in 2007 and has over 25 years’ experience in Ireland and internationally. Brian acts as audit partner to a number of investment funds, asset managers and their related service providers. Brian is a Chartered Accountant, and currently serves as Chair of Irish Funds; he took up this role in May 2018. Brian also leads Deloitte’s EMEA Hedge Fund practice.

Meredith’s perspective on regulatory compliance is sought after by industry practitioners, as she synthesizes regulatory requirements into technology-driven operational practice. In founding Finomial, Meredith brings 20 years of fintech experience from Credit Suisse, Lehman Brothers and Reuters, as well as strategy expertise from Monitor Company. She earned her MBA at Harvard Business School and her BA at Brown University.

Bill Salus is the Founder of Paddock Consultancy, former Global Chief Executive Officer for Apex Fund Services. His responsibilities included the day-to-day running of Apex globally and executing on all strategic initiatives; including expanding Apex’s global presence and product suite. Bill has over 30 years of experience in sales, management and consulting in the global investment and financial services industry, including holding operating positions throughout Asia. Bill was EVP at PNC Global Investment Servicing (formerly PFPC) responsible for new business across fourteen business lines and was on the management team which engineered the sale of PNC GIS to BNYMellon. He also held senior positions at PNC Global Investment Servicing, KeyCorp. Bill was a member of the ICI International Operations Advisory Committee and the ICI International Committee and was named in Global Custodian magazine’s Securities Services Hall of Fame. Bill holds several Advisory Board positions as part of Paddock engagements.

Andrew has significant experience in the asset management industry in the US and Dublin and his clients include large US, UK and Japanese asset managers and their fund vehicles. Andrew has been actively involved in the Dublin Funds Industry since 1995 and has assisted many of the leading global players structure products in Dublin. Andrew has written and spoken widely on the challenges and opportunities facing the industry and currently specialises in providing performance improvement solutions to fund managers and service organisations. Andrew is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, England and Wales and a member of the Marketing Committee of the Irish Funds Industry Association. Andrew is also Chairman of the Competitiveness Sub-Committee of the IFIA.

Anne joined The Panel in 1997, was promoted to Director in 2000 and Joint Managing Partner in 2010. She set up their international division, placing financial services staff and accountants in the UK, Luxembourg, Jersey, Guernsey, Bermuda, USA, Cayman Islands and further afield. Anne leads The Panel’s executive search areas in Financial Services specifically in the areas of Funds and Fund Management. With over twenty years’ in Executive Recruitment experience, Anne is uniquely placed to assist in the hiring of suitable executives and board members. Anne is one of the most highly networked recruitment professionals in the Irish market. She has focused on building long lasting relationships with clients and candidates during her time in The Panel. Anne is also the Brexit Lead in The Panel. As Pre-Acceleration leader at NDRC, an early stage investor in technology start-up companies, Helen has overall responsibility for the design, development, sourcing, delivery and evaluation of venturing support at pre-seed investment stage. A passionate advocate of female entrepreneurship, she led the delivery of the NDRC Female Founders six-month accelerator programme in partnership with Enterprise Ireland. She has recently completed a national study of the value of peer support in female business venturing across Enterprise Ireland sponsored female entrepreneurship programmes. Prior to joining NDRC she was General Manager with ClubCorp in Beijing, China, having worked with the organisation in the United States as a General Manager, Regional Manager and as a member of the corporate revenue team. She received numerous accolades for operational excellence and customer experience transformation. She attributes much of her success to an ability to unite teams around a shared, user-centered, vision.

Mick's formative training was as a trader and investor in global markets, trading all asset classes including foreign exchange, bonds, derivatives and interest rates globally. Over his career he ran large global trading and investment teams in major global trading centers including London, New York and San Francisco. Mick has extensive experience leading a diverse portfolio of financial services businesses in the domestic and international markets, including Capital Markets, Asset and Wealth Management and most recently Life Assurance & Pensions (New Ireland Assurance). Over his last 5 years in Bank of Ireland, he was directly responsible for a team of 1,000 people, over 1 million customers and circa €350m of annual revenues.

Adrian Whelan is a Senior Vice President of Regulatory Intelligence at Brown Brothers Harriman. He is based in Dublin.Before joining Regulatory Intelligence, Adrian was the Head of Depositary for BBH Trustee Services (Ireland) Limited. Adrian joined BBH in 2011, prior to which he ran a regulatory consultancy firm. Adrian is an active participant in industry groups, including Irish Funds and ICI Global. He frequently appears at conferences discussing the impact of regulation on the asset management industry. Adrian graduated from Dublin City University Business School with a degree in Business Studies.

Karen is a qualified accountant and has worked in the Financial Services industry since 1990. Prior to establishing Centaur, Karen was the Managing Director of Citi Hedge Fund Services EMEA (previously Bisys Hedge Fund Services and Hemisphere Management). Karen has also held management positions at JP Morgan Chase (1994 to 1997) and Irish Life Investments (1990 to 1994). Karen has spoken at many conferences and written extensively on the funds industry. She was involved in the IOSCO report on Principles for the Valuation of Hedge Fund Portfolios and the AIMA Guides on Sound Practices for Hedge Fund Valuations.

As a Director within the relationship and on boarding division of DMS Investment Management Services (Europe) Limited, Vanora manages a portfolio of clients, assisting with the design and implementation of internal controls and operating procedures associated with the on boarding of new clients and offers them corporate governance advice and support. Vanora brings with her a background in both legal and client relationship management with over six years spent at Fidelity Worldwide Investment in Dublin, servicing corporates, banks, pension funds and financial institutions. Prior to joining DMS she worked as a stockbroker with Cantor Fitzgerald and as part of the Investment Management team at Lehman Brothers. She is a member of the Law Society of Ireland, a Chairperson of the Irish Funds Communications and Publications Working Group and a member of the 100 Women in Finance, Dublin steering committee. Vanora studied Business Economics and Social Studies (BESS) at Trinity College Dublin, where she also holds a Master’s degree in Business and Economics.

Richard is the Chief Operating Officer and member of the Risk Committee at ML Capital. In his role, Richard oversees the full operational management of the asset management entity with responsibilities including Fund Structuring & Origination, Service Provider Management and day to day relationship management of ML’s Fund Manager Partners. Prior to joining ML Capital in 2010, he spent 12 months as a senior consultant advising the alternative asset management industry on corporate governance issues post the 2008 crisis. Richard spent the first 10 years of his career at Morgan Stanley working within a number of senior roles within Technology, Operations, Equities and Asset Management. Richard read Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the University of Essex.

Philip is the Sanne Ireland Country Head, with overall responsibility for Sanne Ireland’s regulated Fund Administration, Private Debt & Capital Markets, Corporate & Institutional, and AIFM business lines. Philip was also responsible for establishing LIS Ireland’s presence in May 2017, prior to the Sanne acquisition of LIS. Philip has had a number of operational and relationship roles with Citi, State Street and PNC (now BNY Mellon). Philip is also a very active member of the Irish Funds, involved in various working groups. He has been working in the Investment Funds industry since 2001. Philip holds an Honours Degree in Political and Economic Science, and a Masters’ Degree in Economic Science, both from University College Dublin. Philip also holds a Certified Project Management Diploma from the Institute of Project Management Ireland.

Stuart Sweeney joined Raymond James in 2018 to launch the financial services offering in London and is a Managing Director of the firm’s Financial Services Investment Banking group. Prior to this, he was an associate partner at Ernst & Young and was part of the leadership team of the UK Financial Services M&A Advisory practice. Previously, Mr. Sweeney was corporate development director at Computershare (ASX: CPU), where he was responsible for corporate development across continental Europe. Mr. Sweeney advises on transactions in financial services with a particular focus on technology & services to financial services and has more than 14 years of M&A experience. Mr. Sweeney graduated from the University of Bristol with a degree in Modern Languages.
